This Week's Round-Up
Elon Musk has given us a glimpse into his plans for increasing Twitter's revenue
Elon Musk has been in and out of the news all week, and for good reason, after completing his mega-purchase of Twitter. He wasted no time springing into action and has implemented some tried-and-true methods of reigning in an out-of-control profit/loss statement. His first actions included laying off some unproductive/unnecessary employees and charging for services on the platform ($8/month for a verification badge, represented by the blue checkmark in the dank meme below, which was posted by Elon himself). One of the side hustles most near and dear to my heart is land flipping. I've bought and sold more than a dozen pieces of dirt around the country, making a profit on each and every one of them. It's the ultimate buy-low sell-high endeavor, and it didn't take me long to learn. I linked the website I used to do a lot of my research below and I think it'll be valuable to you. Even if you aren't interested in land or RE flipping, the site is chock-full of investment/financial advice that is extremely helpful for almost anyone. Check it out!
Podcast of the Week - Money Guy Show
Although the name might lack some punch, the contents of this podcast are actually really interesting. This week, the hosts dove into some practical topics, such as the comparisons of debit vs. credit cards, whether to rent or buy, and what to do with the extra income from a higher-paying job. If you are looking for a couple extra 25-30 minute shows in your weekly rotation with financial tips you can use right now, it's worth a listen.
This week's content is sponsored by Kickflips.
