CREATOR ECONOMY GREW 119% IN TWO YEARS, ADOBE REPORT CLAIMS

The modern social media platforms, combined with the accessibility of the creator economy, leads millions to begin creating their own content and monetizing it. Adobe ran a study on this economy, and the results show that the industry grew by 119% in the past two years. With that said, only 17% of creators own their own business; the vast majority are simply hobbyists. This leaves plenty of space for people like you in the space.

If You Want to Retire Early but Don’t Want to Scrimp, ‘Fat FIRE’ Might Be for You

You may have heard of FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early), which includes calculating your FIRE number (Annual expenses x 25 = FIRE number) which tells you approximately how many liquid assets you need to retire. Fat FIRE is for the people who are still pursuing financial independence, but like the finer things in life, and need a higher FIRE number in order to retire. I thought this was an interesting piece as most people think of financial independence for those who are penny-pinchers, individuals or couples who save every dollar they earn and live a middle-class lifestyle their whole existence. Fat FIRE breaks this mold.

Idea of the Week - Mobile Notary

With these start-up costs, how much would you expect to make per hour? $20? $30? $200? Would it surprise you to find out that being a mobile notary/closing agent can easily net freelancers between $75-200 per hour?

Being a mobile notary is a simple job: it simply involves traveling to people's homes and businesses, and witnessing/notarizing specific documents, including wills, titles, mortgages, and other legal documents. The best part? You don't need to know all that much about the documents themselves, you just need to know how to verify identities and where people need to sign.

Most mobile notaries sign up with service that passes appointments to them very similarly to DoorDash or Shipt, where the freelancer simply accepts the appointment and sets up a time that works with the customer. This takes out the need for the notary to go cold call title companies or home buyers, which is another plus.
