Idea of the Week - Amazon FBA

When you hear the word "reselling," I'm guessing you think about sneakers, tickets, and some collectibles? Maybe the eBay logo? I'm guessing most wouldn't think about food/snacks, kids toys, or Amazon warehouses.

I've done my fair share of eBay reselling, pursuing hype shoe and hat drops and selling them for more than I purchased them two weeks later. While this certainly makes money, I found it hard to scale without people working alongside you, or working on five different phones. Selling on Amazon is a totally different experience. 99% of the time, you aren't making your own listing, you aren't taking pictures that you're 60% confident in, and you don't have to worry about managing dozens of shipments going out to buyers across the country (or world). That's why I love it.

All I do on Amazon is find a product on an online or brick-and-mortar store, determine how much it's selling for on Amazon, figure out how much Amazon will charge to sell on their platform, and ship the items directly to Amazon's warehouse. With Amazon FBA, Amazon handles all my customer service, fulfillment/shipping, and product damage risk. Of course, they take more fees than eBay does, but the volume of searches done on Amazon every day dwarfs the eBay audience. If you're confident in your ability to find products cheap, this is a great avenue to explore.
